Initially, I utilized the Angi's app to see if I could have at least three contractors visit my home to provide me quote to install an EV charger. Sadly, I did not receive any calls from any of the contractors selected in the app. I decided to call one of them directly, the Universal rep was friendly and willing to set up my appointment with one of their dispatch reps. But first, I would have to put down a $150 deposit, which will be deducted off the cost of the job....if I choose them to do the job. I declined to set up the appt, because if I didn't like their quoted price, i don't get back my $150 deposit. Sound more like a crooked way to do business....especially if I'm simply asking for a quote.I called Haines Electric after doing a search for electric contractors in my area. The person I spoke with on the phone was friendly and advised my that Rich would give me a call regarding setting up the appointment for a quote.I received a call from Rich later that day, and I met him two days later without the need of put down a deposit. Rich reviewed the location I wanted the EV charger installed, took measurements, along with checking the capacity of the power panel. We talked about different options to get the electric line from the panel to the charger outside. After our meet ended, Rich said he will call me later in the day with the quote to have the job done. I heard back from Rich, and was satisfied with the quoted cost.On the day of installation, I met the two technicians from Haines Electric. They were both professional and gave off positive vibes. Once the work was done, I was completely blown away with their workmanship. In my mind... I was expecting to see holes in the drywall and an exterior brick wall needed some repair once the job was done. Instead, I have minimal drywall repair.... I can do myself and no brick work repair needed outside. The team duo, cleaned up and left the work area looking as if nothing was ever done. Again, I'm blown away with the workmanship and extremely satisfied with the installation.From this point on, Haines Electric will be my contractor choice for any electrical work needed in my home. I will also recommend them to any of my neighbors that require electrical work in their homes.Thank You Guys!!!Side note....One of my neighbors had his EV charger installed several months back by a different contractor. He was left with exterior brick work, and interior drywall work repairs needed after his installation was done. He did recommend his contractor to me, but I never called, instead I contacted the true professionals at Haines Electric.

Every single time I've called them they are very accommodating. It's a family run business that cares about the work they do. I've used them multiple of times from cutting an electrical line that I didn't need anymore, to putting in a new electrical plug I needed, to even changing light bulbs over a stairwell that is dangerous. They've done it all! I highly recommend them!

On Time Friendly and Reasonable

Arrived on time, confirmed the work I wanted done and got started. The jobs were done quickly and efficiently. Haines Electric employees are always friendly and quite considerate of my home - wearing booties, spreading drop cloths and even cleaned the light fixture they were installing! I would HIGHLY Recommend Haines Electric to anyone who wants the job done quickly, efficiently and done right!

I needed a blinking ceiling fixture and a motion sensor light fixed. I was nervous until they arrived and put on booties before entering the house. Two gentlemen worked in unison and got the job done. They made sure we understood everything before they left. They even went an extra mile for us. To top it off, we received a thank you for our business note!

I’ve used Haines for multiple jobs in the house - EV charging setup, up leveling safety in the house, landscape lights. For each job, Haines was excellent - they were on time, very professional, the finished job was very well done and the overall after job service has been great. I can’t say the quoted prices are cheap - they were on the higher end of the quotes I received. Having said that, they were/are worth the money. Will definitely use them again.

Needed an electrician to install electrical service for a split unit AC. Rich and Mike did a fantastic job, were ontime and provided excellent communitcation. I can not express how grateful I am and glad that I was able to get the help I needed forE.H.Haines Electric!!!In the midst of this oppressive heat and humidity the air conditioner in Dad’s bedroom was tripping the circuit… Dad is elderly and asthmatic and can not be without air conditioner to sleep. Rich Haines just left and I'm wasting no time to post this review.When the Electrician I've used a few times essentially "ghosted" me, I did a google search and found Haines Electric.Based on the overwhelming positive reviews, I called to schedule an appt for some work to be done in the house.I made the call on Friday and an appt was scheduled for today (Monday) with a time window estimate. Over the phone, Rich was courteous and provided clear pricing.Monday morning, I received several texts to not only confirm the appt but then to let me know when Rich was on his way.Rich got here and the moment he walked inside, immediately put on protective booties over his shoes. In all the years of having service appts in my house, not one person has ever done that.I walked Rich around, showing him the areas to have work done. There are many reasons why this family-owned business has been around for over fifty years: reliability, promptness, quality work for a reasonable fee, and cleanliness.I was particularly impressed by the care taken by the young man I hired to swap out a ceiling light fixture. He wore shoe covers and spread a dropcloth to avoid scratching my hardwood floor. I was also advised how to update a vintage fixture I plan to use elsewhere. I will definitely be using this company again.

Haines Electric has done numerous job for me over the years. They upgrading the electrical service to my home, ran all new wiring for a kitchen remodel (ceiling lights, outlets, and under-cabinet lighting) and a finished basement. Last spring Rich and RJ ran the electrical connections and hooked up the equipment for a swim/spa in the yard, and they have serviced my generator since 2015. The quality of their work is exceptional, the final cost is always the price quoted on the estimate, and they leave the job site spotless. I highly recommend Haines Electric

We've used Haines before because we trust them to do the job right at the right price and that was our experience again today. We were installing a Nest thermostat which was complicated but they got it up and running and we'll call them again for any future electrical needs.
